One of the greatest weapons the enemy uses against God’s people is confusion.

For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Psalm 1:6 Psalm 71:1 and 1 Corinthians 14:33

If Satan is able to shield or twist the power, authority, truth, and anointing of God’s word, it gives him greater power for corruption. Ephesians 4:26-27

A good way to find weapons in the written Word (BIBLE) is to break it down into categories.

We are able to place emphasis on certain components of scripture. However, there is no one rule for understanding Bible truths and doctrines.

These are categories I see in Psalm 1:1-6

• Instruction
• Devastation/Result of Disobedience
• Hope
• Promise
• Clarity/Revelation
• Outcome/Reward

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. (Reward, Promise, Hope, and Instruction)

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. (Hope, Instruction, Obedience)

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. (Clarity – Revelation, Promise, Hope, Reward)

4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. (Clarity – Revelation, Outcome, Result of Disobedience)

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. (Clarity – Revelation, Outcome, Devastation, Result of Disobedience)

Everything has a beginning and end in natural time and existence.

God’s creation is established but not limited to or by – instruction, atmosphere, phase, change, discovery, opportunity, existence, demand, dependence, cooperation, life – cycle, participation, instinct, ability, along with obedience and rebellion.

God’s law – which is His love, governs all creation. God did not put a cap on His love. God’s love is extended to the sinner and the saint.

The Father looked at all He created and made a simple deduction. In every place He said, “It was good” – He was looking at Himself. (Genesis 1).

The chaotic disruption in God’s Kingdom was sin. Keep in mind that God had nothing to do with the creation of sin. Isaiah 14:12

Sin responded to opportunity, discovery, existence, instinct, ability, and participation. All these things led to pride, arrogance, disobedience, rebellion and fallen man. Proverbs 6:16-19

We know from reading Genesis 3 that man did not obey God’s instructions. Genesis 3:1-19

Adam dropped the ball. His failure to follow God’s plan brought about suffering, shame, and death to future generations.

As we look at devastation that fell upon Adam and Eve – there is opportunity to prevent certain calamities.

God made man to attach himself to God’s love.

We do not know the fullness of Adam’s memory bank or – what degree he was able to function on his own.

The Lord did not create Adam to be self-sufficiency, nor self-reliant! We need God’s presence. Psalm 91:15-16 Jeremiah 33:3

God knew that giving Adam instructions was a sure way to shape man more into His image and likeness. Genesis 1:26 and Genesis 2:7

As we look at God’s instructions to beginning man and women – let us consider our fate and decided how best to walk in obedience. Isaiah 1:19

Instructions are roadmaps for completing task – but mainly for keeping order. Remember to look for instructions when reading God’s Word.

God’s initial instruction to the first couple was not implied but clearly stated”. Genesis 2:16-17
