My Covenant Agreement

I heard the Lord Say,

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. Psalm 34:19

I took special notice of how “Righteous” is used in these verses.

God is calling His people by name (Righteous) when adapting to His Covenant Agreement. One person cannot enter into A covenant alone.

All parties must consent to the terms of the agreement – in any Covenant Relationship. Psalm 34, tells us God will keep His part. However, other participants – must work out due diligence as well.

God’s Part in Covering the Righteous

The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. Psalm 34:15

The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17

Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate. Psalm 34:21

Participants Part in Righteousness

1 A Psalm of David, when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. 3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. Psalm 34:1-3

8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. 9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. Psalm 34:8-9

11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD. 12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? 13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. 14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. Psalm 34:11-14

The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. Psalm 34:16

And the Lord Says,

1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. 2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; 3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. Psalm 107:1-3 and Psalm 107:1-43
