Wait on the Lord

28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:28-31

My Thoughts

This message from the Lord is about waiting on Him to do the complete work in our lives. Followers of Christ lose ground when working in their own strength.

We get a different feel working a normal shift of eight hours – and sudden asked to work a sixteen hour shift. Working extra hours seem alright for a couple of times. As times passes, this type work is grinding on mind and body.

The Lord is telling His people we do have have to work double duty – if we wait on Him. Our Heavenly Father is speaking to His people to say, let His promises do the work. When people insist on doing things in human strength tiredness will come. Wait on the Lord.
