I prayed a sincere prayer to the Lord for financial increase. My prayer included asking for witty ideas and inventions. I told the Lord I NEEDED more financial revenue and ways to generate money. I asked the Lord, “What is my part in this prayer?”
And the Lord Said, Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. Psalm 112:1
Immediately my thought fell on Solomon becoming king at an early age. He already knew about wealth because his father David was a king. Solomon was not impressed by the luxury side of kingship. His role entailed governing a body of people that were beyond his years of experience. I cannot say for sure what his thoughts were – but I believed he was overwhelmed thinking about leadership responsibilities.
1 And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly. 2 Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers. 3 So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness. 4 But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjath-jearim to the place which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem. 5 Moreover the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it. 6 And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it. 7 In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee. 8 And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead. 9 Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. 10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great? 11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: 12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like. 2 Chronicles 1:1-12
Of course, my responsibilities are much less than King Solomon. But God showed me my responsibilities are as equal to a leader of a nation. He gave me a charge to go into the world and preach the Gospel. As I look at these written words – I too feel overwhelmed.
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mark 16:15
1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 2 Timothy 4:1-5
Every Christian believer is responsible for raising up a nation unto God. Our nations in The Kingdom of God should overrule un-godliness.
Honestly, I never thought about building and leading a nation through ministry. When my car breaks down I take it to a mechanic. When I am sick I go to a doctor. When I am hungry I go the grocery store. Upon doing all these things I am facing the nation. People groups make up nations.
My job is to make disciples by pulling people out of incorrect categories and placing them in the presence of the Lord. Christians are responsible for showing forth Godly leadership. Jesus Believers are expected to feed people the truth of God’s Word. Thereby we become “Kingdom Builders.”
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:4-14
And the Lord Says,
Daughter you share the Gospel of Jesus by feeding one mouth at a time. Look at the story of the fish and loaves. The supply was little and limited. People came to hear the Gospel Message. Many needs were met because they were led to follow Jesus. You preach the Gospel and I will do the rest.
So many of My people are feeling abandonment issues because of following wrong leadership. I AM charging My people to lead with truth. Be outstanding in your field. Stand up for justice and righteousness.
14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick. 15 And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals. 16 But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.
17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes. 18 He said, Bring them hither to me.
19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. 20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. 21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children. Matthew 14:14-21
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. John 9:4
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: Isaiah 1:19
17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. 18 For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. 1 Timothy 5:17-18
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 2 Peter 1:3
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. Psalm 111:10
We sometimes think God’s ways are strange. It is strange for us to pray to a Supernatural God and think we will receive a human answer.
I wept over these words with snot and all. I forgot I am employed by wealth, riches, and honor.
After filtering this word in my spirit – I feel kind of silly asking God for money. God’s wisdom is better than my understanding. Will the Lord give me the wealth of Solomon? I can only say, “I fear he Lord”.
1 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. 2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever. Psalm 112:1-3
