In these troubled times one might ask , “Why am I going through all this? Why does life seem so rough and challenging? When will my breakthrough come?
The only way to break through sin is “Salvation”. New life comes after old life is finished. The birth of a child is new life. New life comes when a person withdraws from sin to become a new creature in Christ.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
New life also comes in death, which is a turning point for the future. Judgment comes in death. Faith and obedience decides our eternal home.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:6-10
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
John 16:7-11
Salvation in Jesus – gives a person a sense of freedom even in bondage. While one may be entangled in sin- The Savior is always near.
Think of calling 911 in tragedy. The First Responders may or may not arrive. A hopeless person faints. A saved person cries out to the Lord – and He hears – and He answers.
The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. Psalm 145:18
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. Lamentations 3:26
The greatest person in the world cannot stop God’s perfect will. His will is to keep us from an eternal damnation.
Bad things happen for various reasons. We cannot always escape pain. But we have the hope of Glory – glorious reunion with the Father.
Walk through the flames and fire. Leap over the storms. Suffer pain and humiliation. Turn the other cheek. Keep walking through until you reach the end of this life. There is a reward waiting just for you!
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mark 11:23-24
I am just saying – when a person belongs to the Lord he or she has something to hope toward. We belong to God. In death we are not hopeless. Our bodies will rise in death and shout for joy.
19 But your dead will live, Lord; their bodies will rise — let those who dwell in the dust wake up and shout for joy — your dew is like the dew of the morning;
the earth will give birth to her dead. Isaiah 26:19
29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:29
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Ephesians 1:3
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:8
