When the world was changed through the flood – old life passed away. All things became new. A whole generation was lost because of sin. Sin is an inherited condition. In the new world, Jesus blood was ready to take on the weakened condition of sin. The blood of Jesus is God’s Justice. Jesus blood is man’s recovery and victory over sin.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 1 Corinthians 15:48-51
The Holy Spirit helps us defeat sin. We not only have a Comforter but a Warring Spirit, an Advocate, and a Continual Helper. Thank You Lord for the Holy Ghost! We are not left to fight Satan on our own.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:26-27
God is emphatically clear about His stance on sin. He is equally clearer on our role and duties as Christians. Mercy comes new every morning and Grace abides in the life of a Believer.
No Grace or Mercy shall be present with us in God’s final judgment. He will rule by His Word taking into consideration the works of man. Man’s salvation does not come through works. However, in “God’s Justice”, man’s works determine pivotal outcomes.
God is asking people to choose Him. There will not be much profit in choosing a Democrat or Republican – if we are not working for Him. The Lord is watching our works and He is judging according to His standards.
The world offers options. Clearly, the Father desires we choose His wisdom and truth. Sin is in the world until The Messiah returns. Get back under the Blood Covering of Jesus! God’s Judgment is final.
