Psalm 94
Chastisement
God’s Plan Against Evil
✓ 12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law; 13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
✓ 14 For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
God’s Mercy
My Sanity
✓ 17 Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
✓ 18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up. 19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.
The Lord My Shepherd
Defender Behind Me
✓ 22 But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. 23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.
Let this be a season of merriment. Christian believers celebrate Jesus’ birth in the month of December. Jesus is not accepted nor acknowledged in many arenas. People do not argue with others about “There is no God”. Celebrate your God!
I heard the Lord say, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death”. Proverbs 16:25. Make sure the choices made in this hour are God’s perfect will for your life and not some escape plan.
Enjoy the privilege of relationship with a Divine Savior. The Lord knew sadness and sorrow would enter into the lives of His creation. Joy and peace are desired gifts – even in the mist of man’s countenance falling. The Lord comes in the times of trouble to hide us in His pavilion. When you are troubled – “Think on these Things”.
4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. 5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Philippians 4:4-9
