Every mother and father wants wonderful things for their children. I don’t know a parent who wants their children to fail. There comes a point in life – where parents stop wanting material things for their children. .
The most disappointing thing a child can say to a parent is, “I don’t believe in Jesus- but I do believe in Santa Claus”. Children listen to other voices that lie and declare untruths. Christians reinforce truth no matter the negative statistics.
A parent trains children to make wise decisions. The training is important – but parents can’t make choices and decisions for the ones they train. A radical evil is grooming our children to totally disregard God’s love. We must believe the power of God’s word to prevail over evil.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
Parents are saddened when their children make bad relationship choices, get sick, lose a job, or go to prison. The worst pain a parent can feel is when a child rejects eternal life with Jesus. No amount of ice cream or chocolate cake can remove this void.
Parents be encouraged. Stand firmly on the word of God. Pray and believe by faith that things will turn around. Don’t give up on your children. Put these scripture in your memory bank.
” 31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. 32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. John 12:31-32
If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
Luke 11:11
35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. Mark 8:35-38
