Who God “IS”

Sometimes God’s perfect will seems strange to us. This is especially true when it involves pain, injury, and conflict. It can also keep us back from things we desire to accomplish.

God has a plan for everything He permits and allows. Standstill to see the salvation of the Lord.

I have learned to always pray for God’s perfect will in everything. This way it takes things out of my hands and surrenders them over to the Lord. When I cast a care on the Lord, I do not take it back. I don’t say, “Lord, you have had this care long enough; now give it back to me”. This would defeat my part in prayer and trusting the Lord.

Without realizing, we sometimes ask others to pray for a situation we trust and believe should happen. I need you to pray but I need you to tell God exactly what I want to see happen. Are you guilty? The Lord is Sovereign and in control of every aspect of life. Let us not forget who we are. Most importantly – Let us not forget who God “IS”.

25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. 1
