I am watching trees and flowers how they bloom and blossom. The buds open up to a beautiful flower and later changes to a green leaves. The flowers are more beautiful than the leaves. It reminds me of changing seasons. The green leaf represents stability and strength.
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. Isaiah 40:8
Then I heard the Lord say,
“Man looks on the outward appearance but God looks on the heart.”
But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7
Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s. 2 Corinthians 10:7
My people are afraid to go into dark places because they are too busy looking for beauty. Children do you ever think about how many people miss My light? While people look for outward beauty they miss My light.
I call Homeless people “Heroes” for this reason – they weather the storms of life. Do you ever wonder where the homeless are in inclement weather? Where do you think they go when flooding rain comes – and lightning and thunder flashes come? Do you wonder where they are when hail and turbulent winds blow?
I make homeless people resilient like the ant. They always seem to resurface when heir houses are torn down. Drown ant beds and the next day you see that house rebuilt again. Oh ye of little faith.
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Matthew 6:30
What must I do to make My Word true in your lives? King Solomon was arrayed in such beautiful garments. Yet did not match the beauty of a Lily growing in the valley.

In the Bible, lilies symbolize purity, beauty, and God’s provision. They are used to illustrate God’s care for His creation and the beauty that comes from Him. Lilies, particularly white ones, are associated with purity and innocence, reflecting divine beauty and holiness. Jesus used lilies to teach about God’s provision, emphasizing that He cares for even the smallest of things.
Purity and Beauty:
Lilies, especially white lilies, are frequently linked to purity and innocence, mirroring the divine beauty and holiness.
God’s Provision:
Jesus used the lily as an example of God’s care, highlighting that He provides for His people, just as He clothes the lilies of the field according to Bible verses.
Grace and Love:
The lily’s beauty and grace are seen as gifts from God, reflecting the love and beauty found in His creation and His offer of grace to humanity.
The lily is prominently featured in the Song of Solomon, symbolizing the beloved’s beauty and the love between the bride and groom, often interpreted as a representation of Christ’s love for the Church.
Lilies, especially Easter lilies, are associated with resurrection and new life, as they bloom in the spring, symbolizing the promise of eternal life.
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Matthew 6:25-29
