Between 2 and 3 AM I heard the Lord say, If My people…
And the Lord says,
“Be faithful people, be faithful to Me”.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
Look at My love in the beginning. Man never had to ask for anything. I anticipated his every need before creation. (Genesis 1)
The more Solomon gave to Me the more I gave to Him.
3 And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places. 4 And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar. 1 Kings 3:3-4 (KJV) I caused men to give into his bosom.
Look at My giving and compare your giving, children you can not out give Me.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38
Put Me first – this is the greatest task before men. Remember Me your first love.
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:6-8 (KJV)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:16-17 (KJV)
Do not drown in a world of sorrow.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 (KJV)
Keep communion with Me.
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Psalm 91:1-7 (KJV)
After communing with Me you shall have these things:
- After a hard day’s work, I shall be your refreshing.
- Before you start a day, I shall be your energy.
- I shall be hope to last throughout the day.
Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10 (KJV)
21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. 22 It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Lamentations 3:21-23 (KJV)
Children life is not hard and difficult, as you believe. I lay out a picture of life. Every day I show you which path to take.
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. Psalm 37:23-24 (KJV)
When trouble comes, I show you how to switch paths. I alert My children when it is time to take breaks and refresh themselves.
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7:13-14 (KJV)
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:10-12 (KJV)
I send rain and I provide food, shelter, and clothing. All My work is so My people may be clothed in righteousness.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)
Children do you know that you are “Homeless without the Word of God? Being “Wordless” makes a man naked before the world.
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:12-16 (KJV)
Crush your fears of this or that and come back home to your first love.
My Thoughts
I read II Chronicles chapter 7, my thoughts focused on all the sacrifices made unto the Lord. I marveled over the great volume available for offerings.
I knew God blessed Solomon with tremendous wealth. Other people blessed him because of his Godly wisdom. I also know that the Lord favored Solomon because he made a stance for God.
Solomon was the only one sacrificing burnt offerings to God in High Place among Idol Worshipers.
2 Only the people sacrificed in high places, because there was no house built unto the name of the LORD, until those days. 3 And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places. 4 And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar. 1 Kings 3:2-4 (KJV)
I noted how Solomon built the house of the Lord. He made an outer court just for burnt offerings and sacrifices to the Lord.
Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the brasen altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, and the meat offerings, and the fat. 2 Chronicles 7:7 (KJV)
I Noticed:
- Solomon setting the example of putting God first
- Solomon demonstrating his love
- Public acknowledgment of his faith
- His kingship and leadership position did not hinder his servant hood
I began to realize that God was talking to the world about Solomon in II Chronicles 7:14.
God had a servant in the earth that put Him first perfectly. Solomon showed consistency and loyalty in honoring God. Solomon’s actions gave way to us having this historical word spoken by God.
I believe the Lord is saying, “Follow Solomon’s lead”. Solomon trusted God without asking or expecting compensation. Nevertheless, because he did not expect pay he received abundant blessings throughout his life!
In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee. 1 Kings 3:5 (KJV)
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)
The Lord is telling us:
- To Act like Him
- Walk in Humility
- Repent be delivered
- Pray
- To be Faithful and Loyal
- Seek His Council
- Be Consistent in putting Him First
- Trust His plan for our lives
- Take a Stand Against Idol Worship
- To Make a Public Display of His love
The Lord is reminding us to “Remember Our First Love”.
